The Story of Roseknoll
![]() |
Roseknoll began in 1988 with our first Portuguese Water Dog, Ch. Count Nicholas Rostov and we were soon hooked on PWD’S. Nicholas was followed by our Foundation Dam, Dancer. She produced our first litter in 1991. Dancer was awarded “Producer of Merit” together with winning,”#1 Brood Bitch”, at the 1994 National Specialty. Basil was added to our home in 1990 as our Foundation Sire. He achieved national ranking for “Top Ten” in 1993 and 1994, finishing #3 in the Nation. He was also awarded #2 Stud Dog at the 1994 National Specialty. At Roseknoll, we’re extremely proud of our litany of Champions - our “hand me down Genes” as we call them. We now have over 40 champions of record, while only having a litter per year. Click here to view a sampling of these wonderful boys and girls. |
